This position consisted of the Vicarage, which was prepared for defence and a brick wall loopholed, and a redoubt to the west, linked by a trench to the Vicarage. A four bay wire entanglement was constructed in front of the position. Further spurs of single bay wire entanglements ran of the main belt of wire to form a complex obstacle.
Field latrines were dug inside the position but were only to be used if the position was occupied due to enemy action. Mines were located on the left of the position, to be fired electrically.
